Life After the Pink Ribbon: What No One Tells You About Healing

You’re cleared. You ring the bell. 🔔You’re told to go live your life again.

But what if you don’t know how?

What if, instead of relief, you feel a strange mix of gratitude, grief, exhaustion, and fear?

What if the silence after treatment is louder than you expected?

If you’re nodding your head… welcome. You’re not alone.

The Aftershock That No One Warns You About

After treatment ends, the support often fades. Friends stop checking in. Doctor visits are less frequent and they dare to release you to seeing them once a year (mine did and I refused! What was I without seeing him every six months?). Suddenly, the emotional weight hits:

  • Who am I now?

  • How do I feel safe in my body again?

  • What does healing even mean after cancer?

  • What can I do to prevent it from coming back?

This is what I call the "afterglow" phase—the space where the world thinks you're fine, but your mind, body and spirit is still catching up. The opportunity.

It’s the part of the journey no one talks about—but it’s also where your power returns.

My New Direction: Coaching Survivors Through the “Now What” Phase

I know this space intimately—because I’ve lived it. I’m a breast cancer survivor, a holistic wellness coach, and a woman who rebuilt her life after diagnosis.

And I created something I couldn’t find back then: a calm, supportive path to healing emotionally, physically, and spiritually after treatment ends, specifically for breast cancer survivors.

This new direction in my work is dedicated to survivors who are done “just surviving” and are ready to feel like themselves again—maybe even better than before.
